The Australian Battery Society – Energy Renaissance Innovator Award recipients are ones that we at Energy Renaissance are honoured to sponsor and promote. We are delighted to announce Jason Wooi, another of our award winners. During his PhD studies at UNSW, Jason is examining the cathode-electrolyte interaction in Na-ion batteries (SIBs).
We are excited to introduce you to another of our award recipients, Junnan Hao. Junnan is a postdotocal researcher at the University of Adelaide working on the optimization of aqueous Zn-ion batteries. Junnan plans to use the award towards the design of high-safety wearable aqueous-based Zn-ion batteries.
Our lithium-ion battery gigafactory in Tomago, NSW (Renaissance One) has reached lock up and fit out is underway, with our development partner ATB Morton
We are thrilled to introduce you to another of our award recipients, Matthew Teusner who is a PhD student at UNSW. His work is focussed on the understanding and development of novel organic electrodes for Li-ion batteries. Working specifically with organic electrode materials is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the emergence of a whole new field of battery technology. Matthew plans to use the award to help fund the patenting and potential commercialization of his work.
“It became quite clear that we would forever be at the mercy of rising electricity costs that would impact on our profitability if we didn’t make the transition to clean energy.” – John Pekin, Owner of Nikep Dairy Farm
