All Energy Renaissance batteries feature our Australian battery technology including our cybersecure award winning Australian Battery Management System (BMS). Additionally, as part of any Renaissance superStorage system, we offer our Renaissance superModbus™ or superEMS™ at a fraction of the cost of any third party Energy Management System (EMS) to facilitate power flow to and from the battery racks.
A Battery Management System (BMS) is a crucial technology for monitoring and controlling battery performance. Acting as the “nerve centre” of all superStorage™ batteries, our integrated, award winning Australian superBMS™ is a cybersecure, hyper accurate system that ensures safety, optimisation, and security.
Unlike most BMSs, which only balance cells during charging, our superBMS™ performs active cell balancing during both charging and discharging through differential voltage management. This unique approach protects the cells and prevents overcharging or deep discharging by balancing individual cell voltages, providing optimum safety and prolonging the life of your battery.
The superBMS™ also monitors State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH), optimising performance and ensuring cybersecure integration with energy storage and grid applications.
Think of this as a very smart Master Battery Management System (BMS), that monitors and controls cells within each battery rack. It allows easy integration with third party EMS for when more complex energy or site energy management functions are required.
The superModbus™ manages, monitors, and optimises the battery’s performance at a rack level. Provides string balancing for parallel configurations of up to 8 superRack™s. And enables integration with external EMS, inverters, and meters, ensuring seamless communication between components.
Voltage Regulation
Maintains voltage within a safe range to prevent over voltage or under voltage conditions, ensuring stable and secure operation.
Current Management
