TERM | DEFINITION |
---|---|
Installation Site | the land (including any structure or other facility on the land) upon, over, below or through which the Project is being constructed together with any adjacent or nearby land obtained or used by the Head Contractor for access purposes, temporary works or other activities in relation to the Project. |
Contract | the agreement between the Head Contractor and the Contractor to provide the Contract Works as specified by the technical specification documents |
Contract Works | The goods / services to be supplied by the Contractor under the Contract; |
Contractor | The party undertaking the work defined in this Scope of works / Datasheet; |
Date of Completion | The date that Completion is achieved in respect of all of the Goods and the Work under the Contract. |
Design | To make or draw plans for something. To Engineer something. The term Design and Engineer are used interchangeably in this Scope of Works; |
Engineer | To design and build something using scientific principles and calculations; The term Design and Engineer are used interchangeably in this Scope of Works; |
ITP | Inspection and Test Plan. A document with a high level listing all of the required checks or tests to be performed on all parts of Contract delivery throughout the full term of the Contract as part of a quality system. Document is updated and signed off progressively as the Contract is executed. |
ITR | Inspection and Test Records. Documents with detailed testing requirements and space to record test results. Used as part of a complete quality system. |
Head Contractor | Primary client / EPC |
Sub-Contractor | A contractor working under the direction of the party undertaking the work defined in this Scope of Works; |
Technical specification documents | The documents that specify the scope and requirements of the Contract Works |
